MY neighbor used to own an Aztek. I never hated t he design; I think it fits the look they were going for with the whole camping thing well. It was never supposed to be beautiful per se .

That said, my neighbor’s Aztek went to the shop  for headgaskets more than once...

IIRC, the 3800 and 3400 can be interchanged without issue. Don’t quote me on that though, been out of the GM game for too long to say for sure.
